Medical tent beside a floodlit community rugby field

What Does the Rugby Brain Health Data Actually Say?

A concerning signal is not the same thing as a settled conclusion. The monitor exists to keep that distinction legible.

This is not medical advice. Rugby Sentinel will not diagnose, will not imply causation where the literature shows association, and will not publish identifiable junior health data.

A concerning signal is not the same thing as a settled conclusion.

The research monitor records citation, year, population, sample size, exposure definition, comparator, outcome, effect estimate, study type, limitations, replication status, and whether the result is association or causal evidence. Until papers are logged at that resolution, the monitor is empty on purpose. Empty is not ‘safe’.

Concussion reporting, when it arrives, will default to rates per 1,000 player-hours. Raw counts without an exposure denominator will not be dressed as epidemiology.
